New work

Since I haven't bothered turning on my home pc I'm submitting some works in progress and finished work from this semester. Hope you all enjoy it. (All of my work never feels completed so most images are WIP's to me.)

This blogspot format is frustrating so I just decided to leave the image information down at the bottom. If your interested in reading what they are titled and so forth, just scroll down.

This character is the most recent work. Don't have a real title for this. Just calling it character 001 (no gray sculpting, just direct painting) It still needs some work.

"War Bear" (most of my works are done in photoshop.) This was one of the first times I did a direct painting technique without any gray sculpting

“Last pod to earth” This is the first image of a 4-5 illustration series I'm creating for class. This is where the escape pod narrowly misses the explosion from one of the main ships outside of earths orbit.

“The meeting” A semi smoldering crashes through the various caverns and lands near the last remaining survivors of earth. They leave their small village and find the pod, inside it is a child. The eerie glow illuminates the darkened trash formed caverns (This is a very loose digital painting. I still feel it's unresolved so I'll be going back in to work on it soon.

“A child will lead them.” Here is the concept image, illustration 3. The child has activated a homing beacon, this beacon emits a blue glow that illuminates the cavern, with the last remnants of human kinda on earth looking expectantly towards there child savior. (I'll post Illustration 4 and 5 as soon as there completed.)

“The Encounter” This was an image I decided not to do the series project off of. The narrative to this particular piece, is a soldier comes across a bear in a puddle. He picks up the bear and examines it. We discover through the other images, that this very bear belonged to the soldier as a child. He had dropped it when fleeing creatures that had attacked his village.

More work to come soon. I'm going to post older stuff then as soon as I finish some more projects I'll toss those up here too.

  1. In that first image you should sign smaller in in a gray other than that moving in the right direction.
